Thank you for taking time on Monday or Tuesday to come visit your child’s teacher during parent conferences. Supporting your children academically is important for their success. We invite you to schedule an appointment with any of your child’s teachers when you feel it necessary to have a conversation about their progress at QISS.

월/화 양일간 학부모 교사 정기 상담에 참석해 주신 학부모님들께 감사 드립니다. 자녀들의 학업의 발전을 위한 학부모님들의 관심은 매우 중요합니다. 이후 자녀의 상담이 필요할시 언제든지 담당 선생님과의 상담일정을 정하시고 만나 상담하실 수 있습니다.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Halloween day was super fun for the kids and staff. Games and activities were organized and run by the staff and some upper school students. The PTA supported the festivities by provided fun Halloween snacks and costume contest awards.
万圣节对孩子们和员工们来说是超级有趣的一天。游戏和活动是由教职工和一些高年级学生组织和举办的。家校委员会(PTA)通过提供有趣的万圣节零食和服装比赛奖项来支持庆祝该活动。
할로윈데이에 학생들과 교사들이 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 게임과 다양한 활동들이 교사들과 중고등부 학생들을 통해 진행 되었습니다. PTA학부모님들의 할로윈 간식과 할로윈 의상 콘테스트 시상이 제공 되었습니다.
This past weekend the girls and boys varsity volleyball teams competed in the ACAMIS tournament in Beijing. The boys finished in 6th while the girls placed 5th. The girls’ team was awarded the sportsmanship award from their peers. Standout performances for each team came from Jackie Wang and Emily Shang.
上周末，我校排球代表队参加了在北京举行的ACAMIS锦标赛。男队得了第六名，女队得了第五名。女队还获得了对手们评选出的体育道德风尚奖。两队中表现最出色的队员分别是Jackie Wang 和Emily Shang。
지난주말 남녀 배구부 학생들이 베이징에서 개최된 ACAMIS경기대회에 참가하였습니다. 남학생들은 6위 여학생들은 5위의 성적을 거뒀습니다. 여학생팀은 선수들이 뽑은 스포츠맨쉽상을 수상하였습니다. Jackie Wang와 Emily Shang이 각팀의 우수선수로 선정되었습니다.
SCHOOL LIFE
The QISS toddler class was performing a few songs for the Key Assignment Day presentation to their parents.

In grade 4, teachers hooked their students into their next key assignment by playing a Silk Road game. Student had to trade goods with one while traveling the different cities along the Silk Road.
四年级的老师们通过 “丝绸之路”游戏，将学生们带入了下一个单元课业展示任务。学生们需在丝绸之路沿线的不同城市之间交换商品。
4학년 교사들은 다음 키어사인먼트를 대비 실크로드 게임을 진행하고 있습니다. 학생들은 실크로드 길을 따라 각각의 다른 도시들을 방문하여 물건들을 거래하고 있습니다.
Mr. Bresson’s students working on the next Student News production. This year, the crew has been a big hit at QISS.

Grade 2 students exploring and discussing their next inquiry unit on “How the World Works – why is water so important to life and what impact do we, and humans have on the resource?”

Lower school student council preparing Halloween candy grams to be delivered on Halloween day as part of a small fundraiser for them.
