QISS Weekly Update: 2018-2019 WEEK 18

Dear QISS Families and Friends,

Welcome back and Happy New Year! We are excited to greet all the children again as we start the 2^nd semester of the school year. As well, we are thrilled to be welcoming many new students to our classrooms. Be sure to check out the school calendar for the events and important dates upcoming.

欢迎回来，祝大家新年快乐！见到大家全部返校上课真令人高兴。我们还欢迎了新同学的加入。请随时查看校历以便了解学校的各项活动安排。

새해 복 많이 받으세요! 2학기를 시작하기 위해 학교로 돌아온 학생들을 다시 만나게 되어 매우 기쁘게 생각합니다. 저희는 또한 새로운 학기에 전학온 학생들도 환영합니다. 다가오는 다양한 학교 행사를 학사 캘린더를 통하여 다시한번 확인해 주시기 바랍니다.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Next week is the QISS Festival of Words. A letter was sent home before the winter holiday outlining some of the activities planned for the students. Some of those activities include: bookmark contest, book fair, spelling bee, and a character dress-up parade.

下星期是学校文字节活动，圣诞节假期之前已经发回家一封关于文字节的信，我们即将展开的相关活动有书签大赛、书展、拼写比赛和人物装扮游行。

다음주는 QISS의 언어주간 입니다. 겨울 방학전 각 가정으로 발송된 서신에 이 주간동안 있을 계획이 설명되어 있습니다. 이 주간에 북마크 디자인대회, 도서전, 스펠링비 그리고 캐릭터 분장퍼레이드 행사가 진행됩니다.

Next Tuesday, January 15^th is an early dismissal day for all students. Busses will depart at 1pm. The afternoon is dedicated to QISS teacher professional development opportunities.

下周二1月15日是半天日，下午1点放学发车。教师下午培训学习。

1월 15일인 다음주 화요일은 하프데이 입니다. 하교버스는 1시에 출발합니다. 이날 오후에 전체 QISS 교사 전문회의가 진행됩니다.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday this past November, students from QISS that regularly volunteer for the Qingdao Red Cross decided to donate the money they have collected to a special cause. QISS representatives Nina, Leo and Jennifer visited the Qingdao Children’s hospital and helped a small child dealing with a heart condition by donated 10,000 rmb. They would like to thank all those that helped their cause.

我校参与青岛红十字会志愿者的同学们从今年11月的感恩节开始筹划捐款，QISS同学代表Nina, Leo和Jennifer拜访了青岛儿童医院并将1万元钱捐给了一名心脏病患儿。他们对所有帮助他们慈善举动的人们表示感谢。

지난 11월 추수감사 휴일에 본교 적십자회 봉사 학생들이 그동안 모은 기부금을 전달하기로 결정하였습니다. QISS 적십자 대표인 Nina, Leo그리고 Jennifer 학생이 청도 아동병원을 방문 심장병으로 싸우고 있는 어린이들을 위하여 만위안을 전달 하였습니다. 이들이 기금을 모금할수 있도록 도와주신 많은 분들과 학생들에게 감사의 말씀 드립니다.
