The Shark's Tale

  • With the completion of the ACAMIS soccer tournament in Guangzhou last week our Sharks have played their last games of the 2014-2015 season. Both the boys and girls teams played well and managed a forth place finish as well as earning both sportsmanship awards.
  • With that, I would just like to take a minute thank the so many people who made this year in school athletics a great one. Thanks to our dedicated coaches, Mr. Shulist, Mr. Antonio, Ms. Pinyan, Mr. Trent, Ms. Angie, Ms. Nicklas, Mr. Thomas, Mr. Page, Mr. Mills, and Mr. Krakowski (many coached more than one team). A special thanks to Mr. Chernock, who on top of coaching two teams, officiated some of the toughest games of the basketball season, and also put in countless hours designing the team uniforms, and spirit wear. Thanks to Jessie Li (hands down the #1 Shark fan) for coordinating and traveling to FOUR sporting events this year, and to Cady Lu who made sure our athletes always had a ride home.  Finally, thank you Dr. Teston for your support in making sure the programs needs were always met. I know the students who participate in our athletics program benefit from and appreciate all that you do as coaches, coordinators, and administrators.  I look forward to a great 2015-2016 season.  Mr. Anderson (Athlectic Director)

Participating schools will be coming from different parts of China, as well as locally. There will be time trials and a Head-to-Head match regarding those who can solve the Rubik’s Cube in the least amount of time. The MathQuest will be a traditional type Math Olympiad, involving both individual and team work. The highest scorers in both of these categories, as well as the individual students with the fastest times in solving the Cube, will be acknowledged. The day is an exciting one for everyone involved, having a lot of fun while seeing the great results of our analytical reasoning.
