Student Chess Competition (Above)

• January 22: Grades 3-8 sent representatives to the first QISN (Qingdao International Schools Network) chess tournament.
• January 23: SAT testing
• January 23:  Drama Performance at the new QISS auditorium at 7 pm.
  • To get to the new campus:  Go north on Songling Road about 10 minutes past the No. 2 Middle School.  You will pass the new campus on your right.  Go past the campus and past a white building with red stripes on the corner.  Turn right on the first road past the white building.  You will go down a hill and see the main entrance on your right.  Parking is avaible outside the main entrance and volunteers will be waiting to guide you.
• January 25: Regular school day.
• January 28-30: ACAMIS Basketball at Beijing.
• January 29: Upper School Report Cards will be sent home with students.
• February 12: China Day Performance scheduled at 1:00 pm.

High School students in PE and Drama classes began to use the facilities at the new campus this week (above).  The move to the new campus will most likely take place during the summer.

Jan 15:  Boys Basketball Game QISS vs. QMIS at the new campus.

Jan 22: End of quarter 2 for upper school.

Jan 23 (Sat):  Students and parents are invited to the QISS Drama Class Production Impromptu by Ted Mosel and A Little Box of Oblivion by Stephen Bean.  Show starts at 7:00pm in the new campus theater.  A map and bus information will be sent home next week.

Jan 25: Full day of school.  (Jan 25 was previously designated as a half-day of school but this has been changed to a full day.)

Jan 28-30: Basketball tournament in Beijing.

Jan 29:  Upper School report cards sent home.

The Winter Holiday Program will start at 1:00 this Saturday, December 12 in the No.2 Middle School Main Theater.  Dress Warmly.

  • Food and drinks are not allowed on the bus
  • Windows may not be opened
  • Always wear your seatbelt
  • Respect the bus monitor at all times
