Jimo School

As many of you will remember, the Holiday Gala was a fundraising activity. The aim was to raise money that can be used by our school and our students to benefit underdeveloped areas around Qingdao. As a result, we raised over 22,000rmb. Working together with the QISS High School Student Ambassadors, the PTA have now identified a school in Jimo that we would like to work with to help and provide assistance to, in order to make their students' have a more enjoyable education.

On Thursday, Mr. Matthews, Ms. Orobello and four student ambassadors visited the school to meet the principal and identify how we can use the Holiday Gala money to benefit the students. These fours student ambassadors represented our school perfectly, demonstrating all of the ESLRs. As they toured the school in Jimo they came up with ideas of how to help, were kind to the students and polite to the principal and teachers. The principal commented again and again how excellent our students are, remarking that they set a great example for students in other schools to follow. It was a proud moment to visit the school with them. Well done Student Ambassador representatives!

At the bottom of this blog post you will see some photographs from our trip. You will learn more about how we aim to benefit the school and the students in the coming weeks.
