Announcements

Tomorrow is our Quarter 3 Key Assignments and Science Fair.  This is a mandatory school day for all students and morning busses will run as usual.  A general letter of the day's events was sent home earier this week  and can be found here: Q3 Key Assignment General Letter - March 2015.pdf . We hope you will come and support the students as they showcase all of their hard work from this quarter.

  • Last weekend some of our students attended the BEIMUN conference in Beijing.  They all worked hard, were very professional throughout the conference and did our school proud. Congratulations to these bright young people!
  • QISS is proud to be the host of the Second Annual ACAMIS MathQuest Tournament and Rubik’s Cube Challenge. The event will take place on Friday the 10th of April. Participating schools will be coming from different parts of China, as well as locally. There will be time trials and a Head-to-Head match regarding those who can solve the Rubik’s Cube in the least amount of time. The MathQuest will be a traditional type Math Olympiad, involving both individual and team work. The highest scorers in both of these categories, as well as the individual students with the fastest times in solving the Cube, will be acknowledged. The event is rather unique, for it is an ACAMIS endorsed program for the younger student. The day is an exciting one for everyone involved, having a lot of fun while seeing the great results of our analytical reasoning.
  • Our edmodo system is up and running and we strongly urge families to make use of it.  The attached letter outlines how it can be used to improve communication between the school and home and step-by-step instructions how to set up your account: Edmodo letter .pdf
