- The QISS Tuition and Fees Schedule for the 2011-2012 school year is now available. Your child will be bringing home a copy of this information, along with a letter from Mr. Fischmann. - Congratulations to all of the talented QISS students who took part in the QISS Talent Show last Saturday. The students put on an amazing display of talents and should be proud of their performances. Great job!
- Congratulations to the QISS Boys and Girls Soccer Teams for thier excellent performance at the ACAMIS Soccer Tournament in Beijing tearlier this month. The Boys team finished 3rd overall while the Girls team finished 5th. Way to go Sharks!
- QISS would like to thank the Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC) Accreditation Team for their visit this week. The accreditation process is important because it validates the integrity of the school’s program, assures the school community that the school’s purposes are appropriate and assists the school in establishing areas of strengths and areas for improvement. A copy of the WASC Accreditation Report will be posted on the QISS website once it is finalized.
- The GIG "Jiao for Japan" fundraiser wrapped up last week. A total of 12,173.30 Yuan was collect throughout the school. The Kindergarten class was the winner of the class pizza party for collecting the most money per student. Thanks to everyone for supporting this worthwhile cause.
- AP Exams begin Monday, May 2 with the AP Chemstry Exam at 8:00 a.m. All AP exams must be paid for by the end of April, otherwise students cannot take the exam. Payments may be made in the school office. Click the following link for a detailed AP test calendar. AP calendar letter 2011.pdf
- Reminder that there are no classes at QISS on Monday and Tuesday of next week due to the Labour Day Holiday.
- The Qingdao International Drama Group presents the pantomime production of "Robin Hood" on May 6, 7 and 8. See Mr. Smith for tickets. Come support many QISS thespians while supporting the Qingdao Expat Charity. For more information visit their website at http://www.qingdaopanto.org.
- Upper School Recreational Girls Basketball will take place in the gym on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 beginning May 9. A bus will be available to take students home at 4:30.
- Students interested in playing extra curricular badminton should contact Mr. Adie.
