- Update on the new campus:
- Mr. Fischmann, Mr. Gutierrez, and Mr. Burnside visited the new campus today to asess safety and readiness. Rapid progress continues on the grounds and inside classrooms. Rooms are finished and ready for furniture. However, the campus is not yet safe for us to move into. Construction continues with dump trucks, open man-holes, bare wires, and other hazards. We will not be moving in December.
- Tours of the new facility will be organized once the campus is safe. A safety committee of parents, faculty, and administration will be formed in conjunction with PAC to determine the readiness of the new campus before we move.
- For your information: A portion of the campus--separarate from the buildings we will move into--is currently being used by Qingdao Oxford International College, a college-preparatory program for a small group of Chinese high school students. However, the official name of the campus and the priority for the campus is Qingdao No. 1 International School of Shandong Province.
