- Note: The registration fee for new students is RMB 24,500. Returning student’s registration fee is RMB 4,500.
- Bus and lunch fees are optional services and will be deducted from the total for those who do not want these services.
- Bus and lunch fees will be refunded on a prorated basis for those who do not want these services later on in the school year.
Payment Terms and Options:
- Tuition and fees may be paid by check, cash or wire transfer.
- Tuition and fees are payable in China in RMB only.
- Tuition and fees wired from abroad may be made in USD. Please note: to ensure proper credit, a copy of the bank’s proof of payment with the students grade and name clearly marked on the document should be faxed or submitted in person to school’s accounting office.
- Cash payments may be made in RMB only.
- Checks should be made payable to: Qingdao No. 1 International School of Shandong Province(山东省青岛第一国际学校).

Payment Deadlines:
- For returning students, tuition and fees must be paid in full no later than June 30, 2008 to guarantee enrollment. Please note: Those who do not pay by this date could have their enrollment given to another student.
- In all cases full payment of tuition and fees must be made prior to a student’s first day of classes. Late payments will be subject to additional fees.
- Tuition and fees will be prorated on a daily basis for new students who are accepted later on in the school year.
- Tuition and Fees (excepting the Registration fee) may be paid in two installments. The first installment must be paid prior to the first day of classes. The second installment must be paid before January 15, 2009. There is an additional charge of RMB 5,000 that is levied for each installment or a total of RMB 10,000 for both payments.
Discounts Available:
- Early Payment option: For returning students who make full payment of tuition and fees before June 15, 2008 will have RMB 4,500 deducted from the total cost. This discount is not available to new students.
- Families with more than one child will receive a discount on tuition only. For discount purposes children are ranked according to age: the oldest child receives no discount; the second oldest child receives a discount of 5%; the third oldest child receives a 10% discount; the fourth oldest child receives a discount of 15%.
Refund Policy:
- If a child withdraws during the first 4 weeks of attending classes, 50% of the tuition will be refunded along with a prorated refund of the bus and lunch fees.
- Please note: no tuition refund will be granted to students who withdraw after their fourth week of attending classes. Bus and lunch fees will be refunded on a prorated basis.
- In those cases where the school mandates the withdrawal of a student, the Director or his designee may grant a prorated refund of tuition, bus and meal fees. The registration fee is not refundable.
Insurance:
- Accident and liability insurance are included in the fee structure for accidents that occur at QISS or at a QISS sponsored activity within China.
- Please note: This insurance will cover approved treatments within China only.
- Parents are expected to have their own accident and liability insurance in addition to the school’s coverage for accidents that occur when students are not attending QISS or a QISS sponsored activity within or outside of China.
