Dear QISS Families and Friends,
Week 32 of the 2016-2017 academic year is now complete, and as we move past the current round of AP examinations, several of our upper school students are now in Beijing for the annual ACAMIS Track and Field competition. Best of luck for all competing students. GO SHARKS!
Student Half-Day / Teacher In-service: Tuesday May 16th
Tuesday, May 16th will be a student half-day. Before students leave for the afternoon and staff engage in professional development duties, we will take a whole school photograph for the yearbook, led by Technology teacher Mr. Swartz. Please remind your children to wear QISS Spirit Wear on that day.
Annual Community Meeting: Wednesday, May 17th
Wednesday is the annual Community Meeting, instead of a regular PEP Talk. The leadership team will present a summary of the year, present Parent Satisfaction Survey results, announce transitioning staff and introduce new staff for the 2017-2018 academic year.
QISS Annual Art Show: Sunday, May 21st
It's time for the QISS Annual Art Show. It will be held at QISS (Upper School 1st Floor) on Sunday May 21 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. There will be music from the QISS Upper School Band, food, and a silent auction. The money raised from the event will go to buy art supplies for the Jimo Hope Primary School.
Please click the link below to check out some photos from the recent ACAMIS MathQuest and Rubik's Cube Tournament. 8 schools from across China came together to compete and make friends. It was a wonderful day, and many great memories were made. All of the participants have told us they want to return again next year.
