Dear QISS Families and Friends,
Week 21 of the 2016-2017 Academic Year has just flown by, not only because it is a short week, but also because it was highlighted with an absolutely spectacular China Day celebration. The annual QISS China Day celebration is an important event in the school calendar. As our host country, it is important that we take the time to appreciate and learn about Chinese history and culture. China Day allows our students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture through the performing arts, which boosts both their academic and personal development.
Thank you to all of the parents who attended these festivities. Thank you to the Chinese department, led by Ms. Jessy Yin, for producing and coordinating such a wonderful event. Most of all, thank you to our students, teachers and staff who performed throughout the day.
We wish you a very safe and happy Chinese New Year. Whether you are staying in China or travelling abroad, Happy Year of the Rooster! XIN NIAN KUAI LE!
First 2017 QISs Open House
On Thursday, February 23rd 2017, QISS will host the first Open House of the 2016-2017 academic school year. These open houses are a great way families who are thinking about joining QISS throughout the end of the 2016-2017 school year, or in the 2017-2018 school year, to learn more about what QISS has to offer.
We will begin at 9am in the QISS main office for a meet and greet. The school development office will provide a range of snacks and drinks to welcome everyone, then we will start the Open House with a presentation by the QISS Leadership Team. Following the presentation, families will be given a guided tour of the campus, including classrooms and facilities. After the tour, we will return to the QISS main office for a question and answers sessions.
We encourage any QISS community members with friends who would like to join QISS to attend the Open House. Below is are a series of flyers for the Open House in English, Chinese and Korean.
Enjoy our photos from China Day.
