- Mr. Matthews taught Grade 3 about 3D printing. Grade 3 are studying animal adaptations and dinosaurs in their inquiry, so Mr. Matthews brought a 1:1 scale velociraptor claw that he 3D printed on the school's 3D printer. They then went to the 3D printer and begun printing a T-Rex Skull that will feature in their Key Assignment
- The principal of Jimo Hope Primary School, several teachers, and a leader from the Jimo education bureau, visited QISS to learn about the QISS instructional model. They toured several classrooms, learned about inquiry-based learning, observed some classes in action and took some tips back to use in their own classrooms. QISS values deep connections with the local community, and it is an honour to be able to share the instructional practices being used at QISS with schools from the Qingdao region.
- Students have been participating in the Kungfu After-School Activity Program (ASAP) in recent weeks. They are learning from their shifu very quickly.
